| Ted LeNeave accepts the James G. Dunton Distinguished Service Award for Lifetime Achievement - Tuesday, September 29, 2009 Ted LeNeave, President and CEO of American HealthCare, LLC was presented the James G. Dunton Distinguished Service Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 2009 VHCA/VCAL Convention and Trade Show in Hampton, VA. This award, VHCA’s highest honor, is appropriately named for Jim Dunton, former VHCA Executive Director and a truly great gentleman who led a life of distinction. The award is presented annually to an individual who has risen to the top of their profession by pursuing excellence, expanding into new areas, and making outstanding contributions to long term care in Virginia. After accepting the award, LeNeave gave a moving acceptance speech to a group of over 500 Long-Term Care leaders, employees, and volunteers. His speech focused on the need to continue living for your beliefs and living a life of service for those who cannot care for themselves.

| Electronic Clinical Charting - Monday, August 03, 2009We are excited to announce the addition of electronic clinical charting in our Heritage Hall – Blacksburg facility. This leading technology will provide nurses with bedside resident information that will be accurate and in real-time. Having all this information at the nurse’s fingertip will increase quality of care, provide more robust information, and keep resident records extremely safe. Since Heritage Hall – Blacksburg has completed their pilot program and has found this program to produce outstanding results other Heritage Hall buildings are in the process of implementing electronic charting. |
| Senator William B. Hopkins Retires - Thursday, June 11, 2009After more than 6 years of selfless service as the Trustee for American Healthcare, LLC, Senator William B. Hopkins retires. During his time as Trustee, Senator Hopkins has served on the Executive Committee and been an integral part in growing American Healthcare. With his guidance and assistance American Healthcare has improved financially, clinically, and operationally to become a leader in Virginia’s health care industry. He will be greatly missed, but the work he helped start will continue for many years. Senator Hopkins’ son will, William B. Hopkins Jr. will take over as Trustee as of July 1, 2009. |
